This
view shows the vent pipe for the bathroom, the door going into the front
room (with a closet that juts into the bathroom area) and the two doors
for the front or "living" room. There is a couch in there that
might be able to be saved. This is the largest room in the whole house,
about 2/3 the size of the room I am living in now. I do not know how the
floor is, to much filth to find the floor. However I would like to install
a bookcase and cupboard behind the couch and put bookcases almost everywhere
there is a wall. And behind the bookcase over the couch a Pocket door
could be installed, to close off the front room from the kitchen, when
that is desired. There might be room to do this in the supporting wall,
but I doubt it. The windows with louvered shutters as I have mentioned
before and bookcases almost everywhere. I can see myself doing computer
work, studying, and research in this little house. Most of all it would
be a place to live while I am gong to work. I would like to put flowers
along the front and maybe a trellis to the left of the door. This is a
southwestern exposure. It is nice to sit on the lawn in the summer at
this house. The front room might not be my main living area, but it is
probably where I would "entertain" folks. Hence the air conditioner
would NOT continue in a space facing the street. Please note the "Open
Closet" that is in back of the front door. I am not certain, but
I think this is what provides access to the attic, or crawl space above.
I did not get to visit the inside of the house the last time it was up
for auction. Somewhow the office of housing forgot to tell me of the date
and hours it would be open for viewing until after such had passed. Hence
I am still "in-the-dark" about much of this home. Somehow I
just like it, and I do not know why.
