When the caroles left the Mercy Care Center singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" they continued to sing as they went down the street and caroled in front of the Maple Hill Rest Home, about 3 doors to the West of the Mercy Care Center.

The interesting thing was that they were invited in and after a few songs and just before they were ready to leave, a man got up and shut off the football game on tv so they dould hear the carolers!

These men also had eyes that spoke of hard lives and very little kindness and gentleness given to them. But you could see the smile and the faces that seems to remember better days when they went out singing as they were being sung to that day.
