The images to the right will be about the same for a bit as they depict
the carolers after returning from singing for about 100 shut-ins.
At the Mercy Care
Center on Pine Street in Springfield they went up and down the aisles
where the residents had been wheeled out into wheel chairs, regular
chairs and "gerri" chairs. The carolers walked slowly up and
down the aisles as they sang. Twice they were asked to come into a "community"
room and stop and sing.
Often the people
could not move much but would move thier mouths or just thier eyes would
dance at the pleasure of some-one caroling for them.
