I could
just see this (maybe with a Christmas scene to the left of the door) on
a Christmas Card, couldn't you? I know there is a lot to be done here,
but somehow the house seems inviting, even though it is a tiny cottage
only suitable for one person, maybe two. It seems to cry out to be repaired
and loved. I would like to put a trellis and roses to the left of the
door (and something in the winter there). I would like to put flowers
under the windows, either in a bed (my choice) on in a flower box. I also
think a front gutter might be nice, or extending the overhang of the roof.
The chimney would need to be repaired and I think I would take the TV
antenna off of the vent pipe and maybe install a satellite dish - however
we seem to have fine TV transmission in most parts of this city, and I
don't really have a love affair with the TV. The area to the left of the
walk way is where one would park their car. I think I might extend that
blacktop a little more up on the lawn to accommodate someone who might
come with an RV to spend the weekend. Also to the right we might want
an island of flowers. The other option is to later move the walkway and
put a driveway right up to the side of the house and its back entrance.
